He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis H. Sweet, Sr. and Frances Wiseman Sweet; his brother Donald "Donnie" Sweet; and his uncle Lyle Sweet, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Grove Sweet; his children, Cristi Abshire (Cory) and Megan Sweet Demastus (Christopher); his grandchildren, Kaylin Arroyo (Josh), Lilly Brooke Demastus, Caden Ella Demastus, Ash Sweet "Pendy" Demastus and Avery Page Abshire; his great grandchildren, Ryker Wayne Arroyo and Kolter Dean Arroyo; his siblings, Guy Thomas "Pete" Sweet (Peggy) and Alice Jean McCutheon; his brother-in-law Billy Grove (Sharon); and his close friend Jim McDaniels.
