He was predeceased by : his father Ernest Mitchell Chisom; and his siblings, Robert Chisom (Bobby), Douglas Chisom and Phyllis Morrison. He is survived by : his wife Jewel Hope Bush Chisom; his sisters, Sylvia Nimmo and Doris White; his children, Sherman Chisom, Jr. of Moneta, Peggy Carroll (David) of Salem, Patricia Wertz (Stephen) of Goodview and Vickie Richardson (Brent) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Jacob and Lindsey Chisom; and his children, Christopher Danielsen (CJ), Brittany Carroll, Nicole Biddle, Steven Biggs, Benjamin, Sarah Wertz, Samantha Cook, Madelyn and Mackenzie Richardson. He is also survived by six great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
