He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Massie Thompson and Leafie Lillian Campbell Thompson; and his siblings, William, Raymond, George, James, Roger, John, Freddie Thompson and Dorothy BIckers.
He is survived by: his sister Iris "Jenny" DeHooge (Guy) of Waynesboro, VA; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thompson of Monroe, VA, Opal Thompson of Gainesville, GA and Loree Thompson of Lakewood, WA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
