He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcom R. Burkholder, Sr. and Kathleen Hayslett Burkholder; and his grandson Liam Burkholder. He is survived by: his children, Dusty Beard (Marshall), Tim Burkholder (Stephanie) and Amanda Kassab (Ryan); his grandchildren, Allison, Hunter, Nikolai, Erik, Mason and Josie; his sisters, Joyce Newcomb and Sue Persinger; and his close friend Delphia Wright. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory (427 Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
