With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Elizabeth (Hunt) Walker of Monterey, Virginia, who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burgess Clark and Norma Elizabeth Hunt (Hamilton); and her close friend Carol Waybright. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Dawn Walker of San Antonio, TX and David Alan Walker of San Antonio, TX; her brother Elesson "Buddy" Hunt (Glenda Kennedy) of Mustoe; her nephews, Dean and Randy Hunt of Monterey; her niece Jean McCarty of Monterey; and her close friends, Kimberly Moyers of Monterey, Abby Wimer of Monterey, Melissa Hull of Monterey and Betty Arbaugh of Monterey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Obaugh Funeral Home - Highland County (8739 Highland Turnpike, McDowell, VA 24458). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McLaughlin Family Cemetery.
