He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Lee Davis and Donald C. Ware, Sr.; his former spouse Beachie Ware; and his brother William Ware (Plug). He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ware; his children, Duane Ware (late Toni Ware), Jason Ware (Veronica) and Traci Mitchell (David); his stepdaughters, Iris Foster (Burt), Melisa Douglas and Catrice Coleman; his grandchildren, Melanie Mitchell, Remington Mitchell, Kareem Mitchell, Cameron Ware, Paris Ware, Somaya Ware and Duane Ware, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Anthony Coleman, Isaiah Baylor, Alexis Douglas, Camryn and Noah Foster; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Sean, Kenndie Scott, Soleil Carolina, Martina Ellis and Trillian Coleman.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Shady Grove Baptist Church (21024 Piney Woods Rd, Montford, VA 22960).
