She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Spotswood West Sr. and Addie May Hall West; her husband John Franklin Byers Sr. (Frank); and her children, Thomas Cody Byers (Sally), Annie Lee Stanley (late Travis) and Paul S. Byers.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Allen (late Ted), John F. Byers Jr. (late Lucille), Adeline Albert (late Lawrence) and Dan Byers (Nancy).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hopeful Baptist Church (14340 Hopeful Church Rd, Montpelier, VA 23192).
