Joyce Rainier Downs Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 31, 2024, at the age of 91, Joyce Rainier Downs of Moon, Virginia, born in Hallieford, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Upsher C. Rainier and Mary Lewis Rainier; her husband Leonard A. Downs, Sr.; her siblings, Upsher Rainier, Jr., Melvin Rainier, Golden Dutton, Beulah Sadler, Lydia Rowe, Ruth Robbins, Marilyn Morgan, Janice South and Audrey Knight; her daughter-in-law Debi Downs; and her grandson Scott Downs.
She is survived by: her children, Leonard Downs, Jr., Debra Harris (Raymond) and Richard Downs (Amy); her granddaughters, Susan Hall (Kevin) and Jennifer Morgan (Gregory); and her great grandchildren, Hayden Downs, Tristan Downs and Jaelynn Morgan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
