He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian B. Fisher and Esther B. Fisher (Ebersol); his siblings, Susie, Benjamin and Menno; and his sisters-in-law, Malinda Fisher, Anna Fisher and Rachel Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Barbara (Leis); and his children, Daniel (Evelyn) of Jeffersonville, KY, David Jay (Laura) of Mt. Crawford, VA, John Mark (Sarah) of Mt. Crawford, VA, Susan (James Otto) of Jinja, Rachel (Glenn Slabaugh) of Grottoes, VA, Timothy (Shawna) of Alotenango and Philip. He is also survived by forty-two grandchildren, and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Valley Mennonite Fellowship, 1701 Cedar Ridge Ln., Mt. Crawford, VA 22841, to be forwarded to missions and ministries that David supported during his life.
