We announce the death of Donald Ray Landes Sr. (Harrisonburg, Virginia), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 82. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth R. Landes and Mary Frances Shirkey Landes; his wife Carolyn Ratcliff Landes; his brothers, Alvin, Bobby, Charles, Alfred and Doug; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Catherine, Sue, Donald, Verlon and Raymond (Imogene Ratcliff).
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Sayre (Brent) and Don Landes, Jr. (Frankie Brown); his brother Carl Landes (Shirley); and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Barbara Landes and Brenda Ratcliff. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (473 S Main St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ridgeway Mennonite Church (546 Franklin St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
