She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Shafer and Elma Miller Shafer; her husband Loy Allen May Sr.; and her son Loy Allen May Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Sue May (Sean Lachance); her sister Fay Silcott of Edinburg; and her grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth Sonifrank and Dalton Allen Sonifrank.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Service (14116 S Middle Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824).
