He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lear and Cordula Miller Lear; his wife Sharon Polk Lear; his daughter-in-law Annette Lewis Lear; and his brothers, Atville and Sherwood Lear.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Cara), Anissa (Matt) and Joey (Gloria); his grandchildren, Darden, Kerington, Aiden, Marshall, Brian and Michael; his siblings, Jarvis, Thurston and Serena Ryman (John); and his siblings-in-law, Gayle (Stanley Wellard) and Betty Lear. He is also survived by three step grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 6:00 PM and at 6:30 PM at the Shenandoah Community Center (6044 Main St, Mt Jackson, VA 22842).
