He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Dellinger Sr. and Vergie Rebecca Lindamood Dellinger; his daughter Teresa Dellinger; his sisters, Alma Helsley, Norma Shipp and Emmajean Baker; and his granddaughter Kenley.

He is survived by: his children, Tena Showman (Bobby) of Mt. Jackson and Verner Dellinger III of New Market; his grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Courtney, Ethan and Jay; and his caregivers, Rylee and Shannon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
