She is survived by: her husband James Witmer Showalter; her children, Sarah Knicely (Matthew), Joseph Showalter (Laura), Joanna Martin (Jason), Nathan Showalter (Amanda), Aaron Showalter (Laurel), Amos Showalter (Julie), Rachel Wenger (Michael) and Steven Showalter; and her siblings, Charles Ulmer, Jr. (Bonnie), Steven Ulmer (Norma), Judith Renno (Tim), Dennis Ulmer (Lhet), Alan Ulmer (Robin), Craig Ulmer (Karen), James Ulmer (Molly), Mathew Ulmer, Shawn Ulmer, Norma Davis (Jim), Jeffrey Ulmer (Edna) and Ruth Ulmer. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Home of Lorretta Ann Showalter (85 Curry Rd, Mt Solon, VA 22843). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Moscow Covenant Brethren Church (866 Nash Rd, Mt Solon, VA 22843). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Dayton Mennonite Church (4887 John Wayland Hwy, Dayton, VA 22821).
