He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Howard McDaniel of Alexandria; and his children, Michael Howard McDaniel of Alexandria, Navy of Alexandria, Leslie McDaniel Lindsay of Alexandria and David Eugene McDaniel of San Diego. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
