He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Teats and Emma Hartzfeld Teats; his wife Bessie Higginbotham Teats; his daughter Dana; and his son-in-law Mike Waldron.
He is survived by: his son Fredrick (Sherry Teats); his siblings, Jim Teats, Linda Gray, Margaret Radaker and Dorothy Shrauger; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Nunes and Linda Link. He is also survived by six grandsons and three great grandchildren.
