She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Bailey Owen; her parents, Earnest Edward Maddox and Eunice Bomar Maddox; and her siblings, Marjorie Maddox Martin and James Edward Maddox.
She is survived by: her children, Jason W. Owen (Tamera) of Naruna, Marvin Ray Owen (Deborah) of Gladys, James Gregory Owen (Casey) of Evington and Angela O. Smith (Phillip) of Naruna; and her grandchildren, Vicky, Kevin, Heather, Austin, Brandon and James Jr.. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (221 Old Main St, Brookneal, VA 24528). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery (267 Ebenezer Rd, Gladys, VA 24554).
