He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Hestor and Lessie May Downey Brown; and his wife Sylvia Lucas Brown. He is survived by : his son Cleotis Hamm; his stepson Ian Lucas; his daughters, Shamika Hill of Alexandra, VA and Shanika Hill of Maryland; his great grandchildren, Noah Hill, Novah Hill, La'Naeah G. Hill, Shanika Hill, Jaalen Hill and Justice Hill; his brother Dan Brown of Washington, DC; and his friend Jannette Coles. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law.
