He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtie Kerns Childress and Walter Freeman Childress. He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy C. Agee, Ina C. Betts and Llewellyn C. Anderson. He is also survived by one nephew and four nieces, and two great nieces and three great nephews.
