He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Burrell; his caregiver Concetta "Connie" Burrell Turner (Bernard Sr.); his siblings, Betty J. Burrell, James "Jimmy" Burrell and Beverly L. Burrell; his stepdaughter Sheree Tingen; his daughters, Rae and Torya Dortch; his grandsons, Bernard Jr. and Quentin Turner; and his siblings-in-law, Reggie Barbour and Diane Burrell. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
