It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Eckardt Long of New Market, Virginia, born in Front Royal, Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph E. Eckardt and Marie Mason Eckardt. She is survived by : her children, Harold Long (Burt) of New Market, Hoyle Long, III (Bart) of Harrisonburg and Doctor Cynthia Long of Waynesboro; and her grandchildren, Hillary and Miranda Long.
