She was predeceased by: her husband Mason Eldridge McClanahan of Holloman's Daycare; her parents, Roland Redmond Johnson and Florence Henrietta Harrison; and her sister Estelle Johnson Standbridge. She is survived by: her children, William David McClanahan (Sarah) of Yorktown, Patricia Ann McClanahan Lazarus of Newport News and Holly Renee McClanahan Langston of Newport News; and her grandchildren, Zachary Langston, Mya Langston, Conner Lazarus, Mason McClanahan, Zoey McClanahan, Ania Shope, Mason Shope and Destiny Wall.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cobham Park Baptist Church (120 Islington Rd, Warsaw, VA 22572). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cobham Park Baptist Church Cemetery (120 Islington Rd, Warsaw, VA 22572).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dixie's memory to the American Heart Association.
