He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Branch Sr.; his stepfather Ernest Johnson; his brothers, Tyrone Branch, David Branch and Samuel Branch; and his nephew Nathaniel Branch.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Grayson Branch; his sons, Corey Parks and Brian J Silver of Newport News; his grandchildren, Kroy Myers, Charleigh S. Silver and Randall B Silver; and his sisters, Virginia Michelle Williams Hartridge of Richmond and Diana Branch of Michigan.
