He was predeceased by: his parents, George Melvin and Eva Miller Parks; his son Jason Douglas Parks; his siblings, Shelby Babb, Stella Cassell, Buford Parks and J. C. Parks; and his brother-in-law Mack Daugherty.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Parks; his daughter Amanda Dean (Chris); his granddaughters, Brooklyn Parks, Miley Taylor and Jada Taylor; and his sister Marsie Daugherty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
