He is survived by: his wife Cathy Castle Cox; his daughter Tina Cox Gilmer (Vance); his grandchildren, Conner Wayne Gilmer (Savannah) and Colten Vance Gilmer; his sisters, Judy Flanary (late John Flanary) and Gerry Christian (Gene); his siblings-in-law, Linda Rogers (Roy) and Rowland Barker; and his pet Butterball "Slick".
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Nickelsville Methodist Church.
