He was predeceased by: his parents, J. P. Fields and Nellie Mae Fields. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Melissa Trinkle (Brett) and Cindy Bays (James); his grandchildren, Haley Williams, Tatum Trinkle, Krischelle Bays and Kaylee Spears (Gabe); his great grandchildren, Margot and Eleanor Wilson; and his siblings, Janice Flynt (Joseph), Judy Williams and Larry Fields.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scott County Funeral Home (2060 US-23, Weber City, VA 24290). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Twin Springs Athletic Boosters in Jerry's memory, honoring his many years of dedication to coaching and the student-athletes of Twin Springs.
