Paul Stapleton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Stapleton of Nickelsville, Virginia, who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy P. "Jake" Stapleton and Mary Alta Dixon Stapleton; his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Lucille Scott; his sister Dorothy "Smokey" Salyer; and his brothers-in-law, W. H. Nuckels, Arvil Salyer and Kent Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Scott Stapleton; his sons, Chris (Christi) and Jeff (Sheila); his grandchildren, Isaac Stapleton (Ary), Adam Stapleton, Ian Stapleton and Robbie Stapleton; his great grandchild Clark Williams; his siblings, Lois Nuckels, Raymond Stapleton (Saluda) and Kelly Stapleton (Susie); his sisters-in-law, Dale Smith, Lynn Bowen (Otis), Kay Cleek (Gary) and Kim Owens (Dale); his close friends, Steve Corder and Pete Odle; his pet Breakfast Crew; and his nephews, Dale Nuckels, David Stapleton, Roger Stapleton, Ray Stapleton, Jr., Pete Odle and Steve Corder. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nickelsville Methodist Church (11675 Main Street, Nickelsville, VA 24271). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
