He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Hartless and Mary Magdalene Hartless Benson (Terrell); and his brothers, James William "Bill" Hartless and Roy Lee Hartless. He is survived by: his wife Nora "Susan" Hartless (Fielding) of Lammermoor Drive; his children, Tim Hartless (Amy Brown) of Staunton and Beth Longmire (Martin) of Waynesboro; his siblings-in-law, Frank Fielding (Becki) of Stuarts Draft and Pam Hartless of Staunton; and his grandchildren, Clara and Seth Longmire.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (105 Garland Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
