He was predeceased by : his spouse Gavina "Binang" Pangilinan; and his son John-John. He is survived by : his children, Elizabeth, Robert (Carol Sue), Jaime and Joe (Christy); his grandchildren, Jaime, Jeremie, Frankie, Jaimeson, Christian, Kristen, Bryan, Zach, Lexie and Connor; and his great grandchildren, Delany and Cooper.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home (8464 Tidewater Dr, Norfolk, VA 23518). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (7800 Halprin Dr, Norfolk, VA 23518). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
