She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Agusta Jones and Amanda Crissie Tillery; her husband Watson Stewart; her son John B. Gatlin, Jr.; and her siblings, Mildred Murchison (late William), Lillian J. Manley (late George), Leon E. Jones (late Shirley) and James Shakoor.
She is survived by: her children, Andrea L. Chappelle (late Charles), Gay B. Brown (James), Anthony P. Gatlin, Phillip J. Gatlin, Donna Y. Gatlin-Mteeka and George J. Gatlin; her stepchildren, Michael J. Stewart, Robin Stewart, June Stewart and Robin Whitfield; and her siblings, Annie J. Harris (late Elisha), Mary Hockaday (late John), Patricia Pickett (Wayne), John H. Jones, Oston H. Jones, Lorenzo L. Jones (Rosa) and Jerry B. Jones (Diane). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
