He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Davis Sr. and Grace S. Davis; and his brother Edward "Eddie" H. Davis Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Ernestine "Ernie" Davis; his daughter Cynthia "Cindy" White; his son-in-law William "Billy" White; his grandchildren, Ashley Blackburn (Frankie), Lindsey Keen (Ben), Katie Stevens (Keanan), Angelique Bolton (Stephen) and Justin White (Brittany); his sister-in-law Shelby Yarborough (Chris Davis) of Granbury, Texas; and his friend Cecil Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Paul's United Methodist Church (437 Providence Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23325). A committal service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502).
