We announce the death of Barbara Ann Perez in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Barbara Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Moses Scott and Naomi Patterson Scott; her husband Lawrence Perez; her stepfather John Ruiz; her siblings, Karen, Teeny, Eddie and Joey; and her close friend Michael "Ozzie" Osburn.
She is survived by: her stepmother Maggie S. Hepburn; her daughters, Theresa A. Halvorsen (Richard), Gail Gabriel and Lisa Naomi Cantrell; her grandchildren, Justin Halvorsen (Amberly), Jordan Halvorsen (Courtney), Kevin Gabriel and Jennifer Gabriel; her great grandchildren, Reilly Semones, Lucy Halvorsen, Logan Hobbs and Dezirea Gabriel; and her great great grandchild Christin Hobbs. She is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large, loving extended family.
