She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Louise Lassiter (Gompf) and James Morris Lassiter; her husband Albert Brooks Gornto, Jr.; and her brother James Morris Lassiter, Jr. (Tim) of Texas. She is survived by: her children, Brooks Gornto (Sarah) and Suzanne Parr (Shane); her boyfriend Ron Reamer; her grandchildren, Miles Gornto (Sarah), Claire Gornto, Evan Parr and Madalyn McConnell (Chance); her great grandchildren, August, Virginia Gornto, Sterling, Ford and Brooks McConnell; her niece Cynthia Lassiter Smith (Dennis) of Texas; and her nephew James L. Lassiter III (Nicole) of Texas.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Westminster Canterbury Chapel (3100 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).
In lieu of flowers donations to the Westminster Canterbury Foundation or the Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads will be gratefully accepted.
