It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Ruth Bryant (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Overton, Texas, who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Howard and Josephine Daniels; and her daughter Avis Parker. She is survived by: her sisters, Carolyn Brown, Mary Wilkins, Carolyn McDonald, Mosley, Vivian Shepard, Maggie Chalmers and Francine Spencer; her husband H. B. Bryant Sr.; her children, Charles Bryant (Yolanda), H. B. Bryant Jr. (Stella), Ruth Rawlings, John Bryant, Clarence Bryant (Taryn), Josie Bryant and Theodore Bryant (Pamela); and her grandchildren, Toniettte Parker, Tony Parker Jr., Aleshia Kee, Tabatha Barber, LaToya Uzzle, Tashawna Shepard, Lakeysha Rawlings, Lisa Rawlings, Destiny Rawlings, Braxton Bryant, Courtney Bryant, Tristan Wells, Kierra Bryant, Shawn Bryant, Andre'Everette, Robert Lamb, Ciara Johnson and Christina Shearin. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
