It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Lee Pettit of Norfolk, Virginia, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Pettit and Janice Pettit; and his sister Vickie Goff (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Melanie Sue Pettit; his daughters, Rachelle Pettit McKoy and Danielle Lee Canfield (Jason); his siblings, Linda Flowers (Gerald), Darcy Toquothty (late Arnold), Lydia Bennett (Bruce), Delilah Blair (Randy) and Timothy Pettit (Diana); and his grandchildren, Austin, Kaden, Hayden, Makenzie and Asher.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the following: In remembrance of Billy's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Little Lily Ministries, PO Box 1993, Chesapeake, VA 23327, which is a Grief and Loss/Suicide Awareness Ministry that Billy was actively involved.
