He is survived by: his wife Carlotta Duncan Bell; his sister Martha Bell Bradshaw (Betsy); his son Charles Edward Bell, III (Susan Reynolds Bell); his grandson Charles Edward Bell, IV (Abby Nicole Bell); his great grandchild Clara; his granddaughters, Jacqueline Anne Bell and Mary Bell Young (Eric Falcone Young); his great grandchildren, Henry and Charlotte; his children, Julia Carlotta Cochran, Eva Milana Cochran, James Duncan Stevens Bell and John Heydock Stevens Bell; his child-in-law Alessandro Ossi; and his children, Nicholas Reid Ossi and Thomas Cameron Ossi.
