He was predeceased by: his parents, Ursula Brown and Charles Harris, Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, Charles J. Harris, III (Renita) of Dumfries, VA and Brian K. Harris (Kendra) of Silver Spring, Maryland; his sisters, Charlotte Johnson of Washington, D. C. and Lula Lawson of Petersburg, VA; his grandchildren, Tyler, Charles IV, Joshua, Cameron, Kennedi, Kerrigan and Elijah; his great grandchildren, Amari and Langston Harris; and his friend Phyllis Harris. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins.
