He is survived by : his wife Lillie Hamlin; his daughter Bridgette; his stepson Dialo; his granddaughters, Amiya, Akira and Khazana; his brother Kofi Koudama; and his siblings-in-law, William Hamlin, Edward Everette, Carolyn Everette and Celeste Hamlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Graves Funeral Home (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (232 Chapel St, Norfolk, VA 23504).
