He is survived by: his children, Brooke Stephenson (Matt), Natalie Painter and Daniel Painter Jr. (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Brodey, Chase and Emberlyn; his siblings, Patsy, Dixie, James and Randy; and his pet Charles. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
