He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Booker and Henry R. Smith; and his siblings, Henry R. Smith, Jr., Ivan Smith, Joyce Smith and Ariene Smith.
He is survived by: his siblings, Annie Mae Patterson (Dennis), James Smith and James Belin (Laura); his great-nephew Nico Torres; his caregiver Lisa Smith; and his aunts, Helen Copeland and Cynthia Adams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (7246 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
