He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis (Gladys Gross) and Don; his son Vernon Gross; his brother Joseph Gross; and his significant other Florencia Gross.

He is survived by: his brother Thomas Gross of Pennsylvania; his children, Christopher Gross (Diana) of Norfolk, Virginia and Angela Comberiati (Vincent) of Portsmouth, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Parker Gross and Veronica Gross.
