He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simon and Annabelle Simon. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Simon of Columbus; his grandchildren, Chelsea and Charles "Chaz"; his son Douglas Dean Simon (Marla McNamara) of Charlottesville, VA; his granddaughters, Jennifer Mitchell and Nicole Simon; his son Bryan Simon of Cullowhee; and his grandchildren, Alissa Sieben and Phillip Hampton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk (820 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23507).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ballet Virginia (https://balletvirginia.org) or the Alzheimer's Association (http://alz.com).
