He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simon and Annabelle Simon; and his wife Sally Graham Simon. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Simon of Columbus; his grandchildren, Chelsea and Charles "Chaz"; his son Douglas Dean Simon (Marla McNamara) of Charlottesville, VA; his granddaughters, Jennifer Mitchell and Nicole Simon; his son Bryan Simon of Cullowhee; and his grandchildren, Alissa Sieben and Phillip Hampton.
