Dwight Emerson Chadbourn Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2025, Dwight Emerson Chadbourn (Norfolk, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Dwight Emerson shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dwight Emerson farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Hemenway Chadbourn and Winifred Chadbourn (Hankey). He is survived by: his wife Joan Blaney Chadbourn; his children, Tara (Scott Regina) and Philip Chadbourn (Lindsey); and his grandchildren, Colin Regina, Emerson, Edward and Sadie Chadbourn. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk (820 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23507).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chad's memory to the Parkinson's Research Foundation (parkinsonhope.org) and the Norfolk SPCA (norfolkspca.com).
