She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Osborne and Madeline Osborne (Emma); her husband William R. Staten; and her sisters, Bertha Fennel and Emma Elliott.

She is survived by: her daughters, Felecia D. Lee (George), Francine V. Staten (Sylvester) and Faye M. Sterling (Charles); her grandchildren, Quentin Dotson, Brandon Dotson (LaShanta), William Gillam (Carl), Danielle Staten, Ashleigh Sterling, Charles Sterling III and Christian Sterling; her siblings, Jestine Brooks, Arlene Bond (Jeremiah) and Michael Allmond (Barbara); and her siblings-in-law, Beverly Boone, John Wynn and Jeremiah Bond. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
