He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Ernest L. Shipman, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Hudnutt Shipman. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Shipman; his sons, Joshua Lee and Ernest Lawrence; his sisters, Pam and Ruth; Stephen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
