With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Covan (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Littleton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2021 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ellis and Beulah Ellis; her siblings, Nancy Ellis, Senora Knockum and Lonnie Ellis; and her husband Wesley Covan.

She is survived by: her sisters, Mable Ellis, Judy Stone (William) and Evora White (Ricky); and her children, Erin Shannon (Courtney) and Monte Ellis (Tonia). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
