She was predeceased by: her parents, Oskari John and Evi Armeda Jurmu; her husband Gaetano "Tom" Urso; her siblings, Joyce Jurmu, Bernard "Bernie" Jurmu, Ralph Jurmu and Russell Jurmu (Audrey); and her brother-in-law Leonard Rado.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Guy Urso (Vickey) and Susan Urso Schley (Jim); her sisters-in-law, Joanne Jurmu (late Bernie) and Lorrianne Jurmu (late Ralph); her grandson Jimmy Schley (Lorna); her sister June; and her close friend Alberta McIntyre (Mac).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church (1015 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the food pantry at St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
