He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanito Evangelista and Leonarda Velasco Evangelista; his wife Helen; and his siblings, Norma Ortiz, Josefina Evangelista Daos and Manuel Evangelista.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharlene Foley (Kevin); his grandchildren, Colin, Ethan and Katherine; and his sister Erlinda Rivera.
