He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Peguese Morring and Fred Peguese Sr. Fred; his brothers, Clinton M. Peguese, Carl "Bubba" L. Peguese and Gerald W. Peguese; his niece Meshell Cartwright; and his sister Ruby Solomon.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Whitaker; his children, Carsheena Montgomery (Stephen) of Virginia Beach, VA, Phillip Peguese of Clarksville, TN, Maurice Whitaker (Keisha) of Suffolk, VA and Fred Turner (Christi) of La Grange, NC; his siblings, Joyce Grimes (Clarence) of Raleigh, NC and Alonza Peguese Sr. (Patricia) of Norfolk, VA; and his grandchildren, Kheaira Peguese, Courtney Montgomery, Jasmine Montgomery, Naseer Turner, Maurice Whitaker II and Sydney Peguese. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
