He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wiggins and Viola Wiggins; his son George Wiggins Jr.; his brother Johnny Wiggins; his uncles, Ralph and Forest Whitaker; his stepsons, Willie Arthur Griggs and Dyson Marion Jones; his brother-in-law George L. Rainey; and his cousin Maezolla Wilkins.
He is survived by: his aunt Mercie Whitaker; his wife LLewell R. Brown; his daughters, Sarah M. Richardson, Virginia Beach, Carrie V. Wiggins and Yvette L. Wiggins (George Wiggins); his stepchildren, William A. Griggs, Robert C. Griggs and Roberta L. Parker; his sisters, Rosa E. Rainey and Angela M.; his great-niece Yvette Boxley; his nephew Johnny Wiggins; his son-in-law Raymond Richardson (Lolita Cummings); his grandchildren, Karen, Valerie Cummings, Dyson Wiggins, Chavon Gardner, Romelo Wiggins, Victoria O'Brien, Timothy (Shelby Richardson) and Teona Wiggins; and his cousin Susan Whitaker. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
